When a photographer turns on face grouping, PhotoKept creates face data from photos in that album, to group photos and to run selfie searches.

This data stays inside that album and is deleted on a schedule.

A selfie match helps you find photos. It does not prove identity.

You can ask the photographer to remove your face data, or use the removal link in the gallery.
